Field semantics

Valve status, handbook test status, runtime, Proton version, anti-cheat, performance range, issues, fixes, and community reports are independent fields. A Valve store description is not silently converted into a handbook benchmark or Verified badge.

Data policy

The first edition is manually curated. Steam and ProtonDB reports are linked as evidence where appropriate, but are not scraped, mirrored, or bulk republished until their APIs, terms, and licensing permit that use.

Reports and moderation

Use the game-reporting policy. GitHub authentication, required version fields, privacy confirmation, no-bypass rules, needs-review, conflict checking, and maintainer approval separate user input from production data.

Why does the database start with one game?
Why does the database start with one game?
Phase 7 begins with manual curation. It does not scrape or republish Steam or ProtonDB reports before API, terms, and licensing questions are resolved.
Does a submitted report immediately change compatibility?
Does a submitted report immediately change compatibility?
No. Reports remain in a signed-in GitHub moderation queue until evidence and conflicts are reviewed.
